Thule Urban Glide 2 2021 Double Stroller

  • Perfect For Running, Not For Daily Use
  • Safe for Low-Light Runs
  • One-Hand Fold

The Thule Urban Glide Double Stroller does not disappoint. While it is one of the more expensive double jogging strollers, it is very popular among new active parents and it has awesome features and stellar performance.

There is no surprise that the single Thule jogging stroller and the double jogging stroller both made the lists. This stroller has a locking front swivel wheel for better agility and mobility while you run and a wicked suspension that absorbs hard shocks to create a smooth and comfortable ride for your children.

Parents love the adjustable handlebar that can accommodate parents and guardians of different heights in order to make a more comfortable experience for the running parent. The handlebar also has a built-in hand brake which makes for a safer ride providing more control of the stroller on bumpy and hilly terrains. In addition to the hand brake, there is a handy wrist strap and an additional pedal brake for extra safety.

Children love the large canopies that can cover them well and have a peek-a-boo window so they can see their guardian and vice versa. There is also a.magnetic closure so that you can quietly check on your babies while you run and you won’t wake them if they are snoozing. Children love the thickly padded seats that have a deep recline and a safety harness to keep the children in place while you jog.

This stroller has deep storage baskets that have a zipper and a water-resistant cover that will protect your gear in wet weather conditions. There are a few extra mesh storage pockets where children can place snacks, toys, and water bottles too.

While this stroller is on the heavy side, weighing in at 34.2lbs, it does have a handy one-hand fold and it folds fairly compact for a double stroller with large wheels. You can remove the wheels easily in order to fit them into smaller spaces which is a nice and convenient bonus.

If you need to use this stroller with an infant car seat, you can purchase an adapter for each seat and use any car seat that you like. If you do not require an infant car seat, you can also use a bassinet attachment on each seat, but you will not be able to jog with this stroller until the children are older than 6 months.

BOB Revolution Flex Duallie 3.0

  • Exceptional Tires
  • Travel System Compatible
  • Lightweight

If you are looking for a double jogging stroller that is lightweight and easy to store then the BOB Revolution Flex Duallie 3.0 is the perfect stroller for you. This jogging stroller has many of the amazing features that the single BOB strollers have such as the 3 air-filled tires and a locking front swivel wheel. Remember that you should lock the wheels when going over extra rough terrains, and unlocked them when strolling the city sidewalks.

This stroller has a suspension system that is extraordinary and keeps children comfortable even on the roughest rides. You can adjust the suspension based on the weight of your children and based on the terrain you plan to use.

This BOB stroller has a foot parking brake and a safety wrist strap which helps you keep the stroller in control when rolling down steeper hills and on more dangerous terrains.

The air-filled tires on this stroller make it very easy to roll this unit on gravel, beaten pathways, and grass. It even works well on sandy beaches and rocky mountains while still being able to provide a smooth ride for your babies.

There is an adjustable handlebar that can extend all the way to 48″ from the ground and as short as 34.5″ which means that it is suitable for both taller and shorter parents. It is also easy to switch the handlebar height settings when different heights of people need to use it.

Parents also adore the storage basket underneath the children’s seats which can accommodate two diaper bags at once, perfect for taking twins to the park or enjoying an entire family day away from the house with everything you need.

Children enjoy the comfortable and reclining seats on this stroller which makes for a very smooth and not so bumpy ride on rough terrain. Children can adjust their seat positions as well, so if one wants to be reclined and the other does not, you can make it happen. No more tears and fights over seating!

The canopies extend separately as well, so if one child wants sunshine and one wants shade, there will be no need to fight over the canopy positions.

One downfall of this stroller is that overall it can only accommodate one car seat at a time with an adapter. This means that if you have newborn twins, this is not the jogging stroller for you. Children of different ages can definitely enjoy this stroller.

Another downfall is that the folding process is 2 steps which is more inconvenient than other popular one-hand fold strollers. Overall, this stroller is rather large, even when folded, which means it doesn’t fit into the back of all models of cars.

There are no accessories sold with this stroller either, which means you will have to pay for anything extra out of pocket, on top of a pretty pricey investment already.

These items should not be sold separately, but alas, they are.

However, overall, performance-wise, this is an amazing double jogging stroller, even if it’s a bit of a pain in the butt to close and store.

ProsCons
Adjustable HandlebarThe folding process is complicated
Large canopies that move independently No accessories sold with stroller
Separately reclining seatsBulky when folded
Great for tall toddlers
Parking brake and wrist strap available
Durable and high-quality materials

Parents love the BOB Revolution Flex Duallie 3.0

  1. Best double jogging stroller for twins and is well balanced to run with an infant and a toddler.
  2. Easy to control even with heavier children in stroller.
  3. It is high quality and very durable. Parents love this stroller even at it’s higher price point.

Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Stroller

  • Affordable Price
  • Great for twins
  • Great for beginner runners

If you are shopping for a budget-friendly double jogging stroller, the Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Stroller is a great pick. It has a lot of great features and can accommodate 2 infant car seats, so it is perfect for infant twins.

This is a 4 wheel design jogging stroller with pneumatic tires that are just like bicycle tires. The front wheels lock just as typical three-wheel jogging strollers do so you can switch between walking and jogging safely with this stroller.

Baby Trend makes pretty nice and safe infant car seats that can both be used at the same time on this double stroller. Remembering not to use this double stroller for jogging with babies until they are 6 months of age, for safety, you can still use the stroller for walking with the infant car seats before 6 months.

Parents also enjoy the parent tray that has two spots for holding cups and a wallet and keys compartment that has MP3 speakers attached so you can enjoy your run with some tunes. The children also have child trays that are perfect for carrying sippy cups and snacks.

I also love how large the storage baskets are on this stroller. There are two of them and they can carry quite a bit of stuff. Two is nice to have because you can have your things in one, and your shopping items in another if you take a trip to the mall.

This is definitely one of the best jogging strollers for twins. Once your children are old enough to use the stroller’s built-in seats, the children will enjoy the multi-position recline feature and the soft padding on the seats. The straps have padded covers that help keep your babies from getting hurt by harsh harnesses. Each seat has an individual canopy. Unfortunately, these canopies are small, and this is one of those features that parents don’t love, but for the price of the stroller, you can purchase additional canopies.

This stroller is easy to fold, by pulling on the triggers and engaging the collapse feature. This stroller takes up quite a bit of space when it is folded, however, that is to be expected when you are looking for a double stroller.

While this stroller is in the lower price range when it comes to choosing a double jogging stroller, it does have quite a few really nice features.

Now to the not-so-great features. This stroller does not have great suspension so it doesn’t fair too well on rough terrain. If you are a serious runner, then perhaps this stroller is not a good fit for you. It is well suited for slower jogs on city sidewalks and long walks on uneven terrains.

There is also a lack of a handbrake which is a bit of a bummer since this stroller is quite heavy and controlling it on rough terrain is already difficult, and when you add the weight of the children into it, the task is going to be next to impossible unless you’ve got some serious strength in your arms.

Overall this isn’t a bad jogging stroller for a beginner jogger and is one of the most affordable double jogging strollers you can get your hands on, just beware of some of the important features that it lacks for a serious runner like suspension.

ProsCons
Has MP3 speakersLarge and heavy
Stable with two kids of different weights Doesn’t fold compact
Great for twins Front-wheel wobbly at higher speeds
Good for low impact jogs and walking at the mallMay not fit through standard doorways
Has 4 wheel design with swivel lock front wheels
Affordable
Has parent trays and child trays
Canopy can be positioned in different ways

Parents love the Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Stroller

  1. Parents do love this affordable stroller because it is one of the best deals on a stroller if for parents of twins.
  2. It comes with a lot of accessories that many more expensive jogging strollers lack.
  3. This is one of the only double jogging strollers that can accommodate two infant car seats at a time.

Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger Stroller

  • Easy To Fold
  • Extra Large Canopy
  • Good For Daily Use

Another affordable double stroller is the Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger Stroller which is a sturdy stroller ideal for daily use.

This stroller has 3 wheels, 12″ front wheel, and 16″ rear wheels that are pneumatic and are perfect for all sorts of terrains. The front-wheel locks in order to create a more stable situation while you run and the back wheels have a foot-activated brake system for extra safety. Overall this stroller is easy to steel and navigate, which does make it an ideal stroller option for parents with multiple children.

There is also a lot of storage options with the Baby Trend double stroller so you can store your wallet and keys and have Starbucks in your parent’s tray while you walk with your little ones.

Children love the reclining seats that are perfect for napping while you’re out and about. The large, accordion-style canopy has mesh paneling which allows for proper airflow and easy viewing of your children as you stroll.

One cool thing about this stroller is that it is very easy to fold up by pulling the trigger and watching it collapse on its own. The stroller then latches into place and will not fall open while you’re moving around, a very common thing that most strollers these days have.

One downside is that this stroller is quite wide, and it doesn’t fit through all doorways, which is quite common for double strollers that are wide and not tandem. Another thing that isn’t ideal is that there is no tray for the children to use when they are eating their snacks and drinking their drinks while on the go.

ProsCons
Sturdy designNo child tray
Can handle all sorts of terrainDoes not fit in all doorways
Lots of storage options
Easy to steer and navigate
Seats recline
Canopy is extra large

Parents love the Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger Stroller

  1. This is a great affordable options for parents of multiple children and is well suited for daily use.
  2. This is a more affordable option for a running stroller and it is easy to maneuver in rougher terrains.
  3. The parent tray can hold quite a few things so the lack of child tray doesn’t bother many parents.

Joovy Zoom X2 Double Jogging Stroller

  • Easy To Use
  • Affordable Price
  • High-End Jogging Stroller

The Joovy Zoom X2 Double Jogging Stroller is a great double jogging stroller for parents with twins or two children of different ages. It is a luxury, high-end jogging stroller for an affordable price and it comes with accessories too.

Just as most standard jogging strollers, this model has a 3 wheel design with 1 12″ front wheel that locks and 2 16″ rear wheels. All tires are air-filled and there is a tire pump that comes with it so you can refill the air if any escapes. This stroller also has a rear-wheel suspension system that creates a smooth ride for the children on rough terrains.

This stroller is very lightweight, weighing in at 30lbs. It is quite easy to control, even with two children in the seats and on rougher roads. Most double strollers can be tougher to control with children inside, but this one is easy.

The children love how each very deep seat has an independent recline so your children can be happy whether they want to nap or enjoy looking around while you stroll or run. The seats are 19″ high, and taller kids fit in these seats just fine. The weight limit on this stroller is 50 lbs per seat.

Each seat has its own canopy which can be adjusted to each child’s liking. The canopies are not large, however, they do provide an adequate number of shade for most toddlers. There are no peek-a-boo windows on the canopy which is one main complaint that parents do have.

This stroller is quite simple to fold up and it fits in most car trunks, even with its large air-filled tires. You can take the wheels off if you are having trouble fitting it into the car. When folded it measures 35″x30.5″x21.5″ which is quite large, to say the least.

This stroller does not have adjustable handlebars which is a downside, so if you plan on trading places with your loved one or a friend when jogging, then one of you might be unhappy with the handlebar height of 40.5″. However, if the handlebar height is not important to you, then it should not deter you from looking into this stroller. There is a wrist safety strap on the handlebar, so this stroller does meet all the safety standards that we look for when choosing a jogging stroller.

There is a lot of storage space on this stroller with an underneath storage basket that can be accessed from, the back and a parent console on the handlebar where you can put your wallet and car keys.

Overall this is an affordable jogging double stroller that does a great job at keeping your children safe while you take a jog on rougher terrains.

ProsCons
Light and durableNo peek a boo windows on the canopy
Easy to push and maneuverThe storage basket cannot hold heavier items
Large wheels great for rough terrainCannot use infant car seats at all

Parents Love The Joovy Zoom X2 Double Jogging Stroller

  1. It is an affordable high end double jogging stroller that comes with a tire pump, which is uncommon.
  2. Perfect for toddlers, infants and toddlers and twins as well, however it is not compatible with infant car seats/
  3. Very lightweight and highly durable too.

Multi-Sport Trailer For Jogging

Thule Chariot Cheetah XT Multisport Trailer

Multisport trailers are multi-functional trailers that look like little strollers that you can use for multiple recreation sports, including jogging.

There are 2 Thule multisport trailers that are best for running.

The Thule Chariot Cross and The Thule Chariot Lite.

They are quite a bit more expensive due to their multi functionalities.

The Thule Chariot Cheetah XT is the more affordable model and still has a lot of great features.

This chariot can connect with a bike, ski, stroll and jog with you. There are special attachments for every activity, which does add up in price for these chariots.

Each chariot comes with a strolling and bicycle kit included with it, the skiing kit and jogging kits are purchased separately.

If you attach the jogging kit which has a large front wheel, this stroller does become a competitor in the best jogging strollers list.

The wheels have pumped up tires and the trailer component has a proper suspension. The trailer can handle rough terrain and doesn’t get stuck on cracked sidewalks.

The front wheel cannot be unlocked when the jogging kit is in use which means you can only use this stroller for high speeds and bumpy terrain. It won’t be terribly comfortable to use it on a slow stroll.

This stroller is easy to push with one hand but can be more difficult to steer in crowded places. It is not suitable for narrow spaces either.

The wheels are similar to bike tires, and the baby in the carriage will have a bumpy and bouncy ride.

If you want to use this stroller for daily use, simply switch to two front wheels to create a more maneuverable stroller.

This stroller comes in a single and double versions, so it depends on how many kids you need to accommodate which version you choose.

The Chariot XT can handle up to 75lb but the Chariot XT2 can handle up to 100 lb, which means the XT2 can serve you longer.

The stroller itself weighs 19.4 lb in the single version and the double version weighs 26.5 lb. The double is 5 inches wider at 31.5″ and isn’t great for narrow doorways.

The chariot seats have 5 point harnesses to keep your kids safe while you take them on a jog or a bike ride.

This trailer is not made for infants, but is better suited for 2-7 years old.

The chariot has 2 flaps which can keep harsh weather out when they are down. You can also cover the top of the trailer with a canopy that has a sun visor to keep out the sun from the kid’s eyes.

The backrest is mesh which allows air to circulate through which is great for warmer days.

The carriage is also made with reflective material which makes it easy to see the chariot in lower light.

Did we mention the adjustable handlebar? Yes, the Chariot has one, so you can rest easy knowing your neck and wrist won’t be so sore after your run.

There is no storage basket on this stroller which is a huge drawback, and the seats inside the chariot do not recline.

This stroller is the best quality-price ratio and is one of the lightest multi-sport trailers (both the single and double version).  It’s one piece of baby gear that is suitable for different outdoor activities: jogging, strolling, riding a bike, and skiing (fewer things to store). Perfect for active parents.

ProsCons
For kids 2-7 years oldJogging kit sold separately
Has multiple kits for different purposesInfant sling sold separately

Only for children who can sit unassisted and are at least 10 months oldMore expensive

Tips For Using Your New Jogging Stroller

If you are new to the jogging stroller, here are some tips to make jogging a happier experience for you and your kids.

  1. Plan your jogs around naps and meals: Your baby won’t be too happy if they are hungry while you are out for your jog. A fussy baby won’t be a whole lot of fun for you and you might have to stop off for a feeding session before you keep going on your jog. Keep nap times in mind as well, and if your baby won’t sleep in the stroller then ensure they get a good rest at home before heading out for your run.
  2. Avoid Headphones: Since you are not going to be alone, you’ll want to be fully aware of your surroundings and your baby too. Headphones can be a huge distraction and you won’t be able to hear voices and noise around you. Music is not a bad idea, but it’s better to play them from the parent try on your phone speaker, but keep the volume low so you can pay attention to the noise around you.
  3. Do not push yourself too hard: Jogging strollers are heavy so it is better to keep your walks and jogs shorter when you are first starting out to avoid extreme exhaustion.
  4. Avoid Blankets: Blankets can get loose even if you tucked them well. This can jam up in the stroller wheels while you jog and cause an accident. Also, babies can suffocate with loose blankets when they are not being watched, and since you are jogging, you could miss the dangers. Babies should be properly dressed when in the stroller without a need for a blanket. You might be able to use a swaddle in the stroller, as long as it is done safely.
  5. Jog in quiet neighbourhoods: Quiet roads can be easier to jog on when you first start out so you can jog on the side of the road if the sidewalk is bumpy. Walking paths at city parks are good places to get started when using a jogging stroller.
